Problems in researching e-learning as Archaeology

This presentation is basically about the problems that I have faced, in common with many other people, in doing online learning research. Before we get into the real problem, let me highlight here the key research question that I wish to address. Can we see the evidence of peer to peer 'teaching' in online discussion?
